Andros Townsend and Mario Balotelli are scheduled to transfer to Turkey, right?

Clubs in the Super Lig have had more than two weeks longer to complete new arrangements, despite the fact that much of Europe has already ceased operations until January.

Balotelli might be involved in the most prominent of the deals that could be completed on Friday, according to Ajansspor, which claims the Italian international is about to sign a new contract with Demirspor.

After signing a two-year deal with Swiss club Sion last summer, Balotelli scored six goals in 18 Super League outings.

However, Sion’s relegation at the end of that campaign influenced the mutual decision to release the 33-year-old earlier this week.

Balotelli now seems prepared to rejoin Demirspor, the team he played with prior to his unexpected transfer to Switzerland in August 2022.

The former Inter Milan, Manchester City, AC Milan, and Liverpool forward contributed 19 goals and seven assists in just 35 appearances across all competitions during his previous stint.

Andros Townsend, a former Everton winger, may be close to joining Konyaspor, according to the same publication.

After missing the entire 2022–23 season to recover from a severe knee injury, Townsend eventually made one 45–minute appearance for the Everton Under-21s in Premier League 2 in May.

But it wasn’t a surprise when Everton decided not to offer the 32-year-old a new deal after his old one ended at the end of June.

The former England international has been working out with Fatih Karagumruk, a Turkish team, but the parties involved were unable to come to an agreement.

Townsend is instead debating whether to accept a deal from Konyaspor or to continue to be a free agent for the time being.

In the Super Lig rankings, Konyaspor is presently in second place with eight points after four games.
