Bayern Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dressen has stated that the club will do all possible to extend Jamal Musiala’s contract.

Musiala has only grown into one of the club’s most valuable assets after being given a chance in the first squad at the Allianz Arena.

The 20-year-old has already scored 35 goals and provided 26 assists in 120 appearances across all competitions, playing a key part in the last three Bundesliga seasons.

However, with a contract until 2026, curiosity regarding the dynamic playmaker’s future plans has inevitably developed, with a wide range of teams keeping an eye on the situation.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Manchester City, Liverpool, and Real Madrid were all considered frontrunners should Musiala decide to leave the German giants.

In the case of Real, they are reportedly hoping that the presence of Jude Bellingham – a buddy and similar age to Musiala – will persuade him to go to the Bernabeu in the future.

Nonetheless, Dressen has stated that Bayern intends to keep the Germany international in their ranks for as long as possible.

Dressen told BR24, “I’d really love to keep him for life.” Today, Jamal is a good football player.”

“We’d do well to keep him with us for as long as possible, that’s our plan.”

According to a recent source, there have been no serious conversations about a renewal at this time, with the player himself not interested in a transfer for the foreseeable future.

Having said that, Bayern will want to strike the perfect balance between generating the highest possible transfer fee and Musiala finally wanting to take on a new challenge.

Real will have a larger La Liga wage budget to work with next summer, with part of that extra money expected to be spent on attempting to sign Kylian Mbappe as they seek a new world-class frontman.

In the case of City, they are already blessed with options in the final third, but Liverpool may require a high-profile alternative for Mohamad Salah if he expresses a desire to move to the Saudi Pro League in 2024.
