Jadon Sancho, an attacker for Manchester United, is allegedly interested in signing a new loan agreement with Borussia Dortmund this summer rather than returning to the team permanently.

The 23-year-old went back on loan to Dortmund in January, and during his second stint at the team, he has made eight appearances and contributed two assists.

Sancho currently has two years remaining on his deal with the 20-time English champions and will return to Man United this summer.

The forward is not expected to stay with the team under current head coach Erik ten Hag, but if INEOS decides to change managers at the conclusion of the season, there have been rumours that he might be added back into the first team at Old Trafford.

Man United hopes to trade Sancho this summer, according to HITC, and the Red Devils will speak with Dortmund “in the coming weeks.”

Nevertheless, the source indicates that BVB would not pursue a permanent re-signing of Sancho this summer, preferring to pursue a new loan agreement for the 2024–25 season.

At the end of the following season, there may be a chance to make the transfer permanent, although Man United is unlikely to approve of another loan unless they are required to buy him.

In Man United’s first three Premier League games of the current season against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Tottenham Hotspur, and Nottingham Forest, Sancho made one appearance off the bench.

But in a noteworthy absence against Arsenal at the beginning of September, Ten Hag stated that the forward’s lacklustre training ground performances were the reason for his exclusion.

Sancho insisted on social media that this was untrue, saying he had been used as “a scapegoat” and that this was the reason why his relationship with Ten Hag had broken down.

The attacker was completely removed from the Old Trafford first team roster after he appeared unwilling to apologise, and he left in the winter transfer window to rejoin Dortmund.

Since joining Man United in the summer of 2021 after leaving Dortmund, Sancho has found it difficult to establish himself, totaling just 12 goals and six assists in 82 games.

Since rejoining BVB, the forward has not finished a game for the German team. However, he has started the team’s last three Bundesliga games and the team’s 1-1 tie with PSV Eindhoven in the first leg of their last-16 Champions League encounter on February 20.
