Prior to the match on Thursday, Cadiz was dealt a serious injury setback when it was revealed that Roger Marti had suffered ankle ligament damage and a fibula fracture during Sunday’s draw with Las Palmas.
Roger is scheduled to spend a considerable amount of time in the treatment room, thus he joins David Gil, Gonzalo Escalante, and Luis Hernandez on the list of absentees.
More good news: Romingue Kouame made his first appearance as a substitute after missing time due to injury. He may receive additional vital playing time off the bench in Cadiz’s final 2023 encounter.
Regarding the visitors, midfielder Martin Merquelanz is out with a knee injury, and Brais Mendez and Ander Barrenetxea are still out with arm and ankle injuries.
Aihen Munoz, who has been sharing the left-back position with Kieran Tierney in recent games, should be included in a back four with Robin Le Normand, Igor Zubeldia, and Hamari Traore.
Nigerian striker Umar Sadiq may return to the starting lineup for Thursday’s away game after sitting out the previous weekend.
