Afghanistan will therefore be aiming for their first-ever triumph in the upcoming Twenty20 International series against India.

India, on the other side, will aim to continue their winning streak. As in their previous series against Australia and South Africa, India may field a youthful team against Afghanistan. The Indian T20 team for the Afghanistan series is discussed below.

India might choose Shubman Gill, Ruturaj Gaikwad, or Yashasvi Jaiswal as their openers. Against Australia in the November T20I series, Gaikwad had an outstanding performance. As the series’ top run scorer, he hammered 223 runs across five games, including a century and fifty.

Yashasvi Jaiswal played admirably, scoring 144 runs with a strike percentage of 16.+. In a single game, the left-handed batsman struck for fifty runs.

With six runs in two games during the South Africa T20I series, Jaiswal also put on a respectable performance.

Shubman Gill found it difficult to score runs during the South Africa series, but the management may give him further chances when playing Afghanistan.

It has been confirmed that Suryakumar Yadav would play for Team India in the Twenty20 International series against Afghanistan.

He might also take charge of the team when Hardik Pandya isn’t there. In both of the series against Australia and South Africa, the right-handed batsman displayed outstanding form.

He hit two career-high 156 runs in two games and five career-high 144 runs in five games against South Africa. Another batsman in the middle order may be Tilak Varma. He’s participated in a lot of T20I matches this year.

After his incredible performance in the last series, Rinku Singh will secure a spot on the team. In two matches against South Africa, the left-handed batsman crushed 82 runs at a strike rate of more than 167.

Rinku hit 105 runs in four games against the Australians, maintaining a strike rate of 175 or higher.

Due to his workload, Ishan Kishan has taken a temporary leave of absence from his national service.

For the series against Afghanistan, Jitesh Sharma and Sanju Samson are two players who could continue to carry the team’s stumps.

Sharma participated in two matches against Australia, where he amassed a rapid 24-run total in one of them.

Against South Africa in the ODI series, Sanju Samson displayed amazing form and hit his first ODI century.

Axar Patel and Washington Sundar, both all-rounders, could be selected for the T20I series against Afghanistan.

The roster for the earlier series against Australia and South Africa included Washington Sundar as well.

With six scalps in five games during the T20I series against Australia, Axar Patel was outstanding.

It’s very possible that Kuldeep Yadav and Ravi Bishnoi will play in India’s Twenty20 international team against Afghanistan. They both gave outstanding performances in earlier series.

During the Australia series, right-arm spinner Bishnoi chased nine wickets to win Player of the Series. Kuldeep Yadav, a left-arm spinner, finished as the top wicket-taker against South Africa with six wickets.

Three pacers who could play in the Twenty20 International series between Afghanistan and India against Arshdeep Singh, Mukesh Kumar, and Deepak Chahar.
