Juventus Slashes Price for Hot Prospect Samuel Iling-Junior!
Despite Alejo Veliz’s summertime theft from Rosario Central, the Lilywhites chose to distribute their Harry Kane riches among the attacking line instead of going after a high-profile centre-forward.
In addition to Brennan Johnson, Manor Solomon, and James Maddison moving to North London to become part of the Ange Postecoglou revolution, Dejan Kulusevski permanently left Juventus.
But injuries sustained in the first half of the season have severely damaged Tottenham’s wide ranks; Solomon, Ryan Sessegnon, and Ivan Perisic will all miss time until 2024 as a result of surgery.
While Son Heung-min plays centre, Richarlison has also missed time due to a groyne procedure. Although the Brazilian should be back in the upcoming weeks, Postecoglou’s wide alternatives at this point are simply Bryan Gil, Kulusevski, and Johnson.
Because of this, when the transfer window reopens in January, Tottenham is anticipated to give priority to wingers, and a number of young players have been linked to a move to the English capital for the second half of the season.
Former Chelsea academy product Iling-Junior, a rising star at Juventus, is rumoured to be on Spurs’ wishlist. The Bianconeri are unable to demand an absurd price for the 20-year-old, whose contract expires in 2025.
Calciomercato reports that Juventus has now lowered their asking price for Iling-Junior, who they were previously valued at €20 million (£17.2 million). However, a payment of €18 million (£15.4 million) would now be sufficient.
The Serie A powerhouses, who lost Paul Pogba and Nicolo Fagioli to protracted suspensions for doping and gambling offences, respectively, are rumoured to be looking to acquire midfield players in January.
The Old Lady may be willing to approve the sale of Iling-Junior in order to raise funds for a move for a new lynchpin, and they will gladly consider reasonable bids from potential buyers.
In light of his present challenges to establish himself as a regular starter for Massimiliano Allegri, it is believed that should the winger exit, a return to the Premier League will be his most likely next career step.
Iling-Junior joined the Juventus academy after leaving Chelsea in 2020. He went through the ranks and made 22 appearances for the senior club, netting one goal and creating three others.

The left-handed preferred England Under-21 international has only made four substitute appearances in the 2023–24 Serie A season, and he has not been used as a substitute in eight of Juventus’s previous nine top-flight games.
In addition to Iling-Junior, Johan Bakayoko of PSV Eindhoven is reportedly being pursued by Tottenham; nevertheless, Brentford is willing to compete with them for the Belgian’s services.
Jota, the Al-Ittihad winger who worked under Postecoglou at Celtic, reportedly wants to join Spurs in January to put an end to his nightmare in the Saudi Pro League, but the Tottenham manager isn’t entirely convinced on the notion of getting back together with the Portuguese.
