According to reports, Paris Saint-Germain has no plans to pursue Marcus Rashford, an attacker for Manchester United, during the summer transfer window.

The French champions are presently getting ready for Kylian Mbappe‘s departure, as it is widely anticipated that the international player would sign a free transfer to Real Madrid at the end of the current season.

There have been rumours that PSG is interested in Marcus Rashford. The capital team is reportedly keeping an eye on the England international, who has struggled to demonstrate his best form in the 2023–24 campaign.

However, French football journalist Julien Laurens claims that PSG is not currently keeping an eye on the Red Devils academy product.

Laurens told talkSPORT, “At this time, Rashford is not in the shortlist that PSG has drawn up.” “In the event that Kylian left, they had a plan.

“They can put the plan into action now that he is departing. The proposal features Victor Osimhen and Rafael Leao from Serie A along with Bruno Guimaraes and Bernardo Silva from the Premier League.

Leny Yoro, a young French defender who is only eighteen, is maybe the most talented player of his generation and is being pursued by many English clubs.

This is the shortlist as of right now. Then, ideally, could be sign two, maybe one, maybe three of those five. Numerous factors are involved.

“On the list, Rashford is not listed. He might be there; in fact, the previous summer, when his brother spoke with PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi, it was primarily done to appease Mbappe, who wanted to play with his close friend Rashford.

“Now that Kylian is leaving, I’m not so sure how relevant the Rashford link is.”

After an outstanding 2022–2023 season, Rashford secured a rich new contract with Man United in the summer, but this season, the 26-year-old’s play has declined.

In his 33 Red Devils games, the Englishman has only managed six goals and six assists. This season, he has frequently appeared frustrated with the team.

But in his previous eight Premier League games, Rashford has managed four goals, including one on Sunday afternoon against Manchester City in the Manchester derby.

Rashford’s relationship with head coach Erik ten Hag is rumoured to have soured since an incident in January, when the attacker missed two nights of training due to illness and went to a Dublin nightclub before his team’s FA Cup match against Newport County.

In response to the recent criticism of him, Rashford, who is training with the Man United squad for Saturday’s Premier League match against Everton, made an impassioned statement last week.
