Ravichandran Ashwin was praised by former cricket players Rahul Dravid, Anil Kumble, and Ravi Shastri, who referred to him as one of India’s greatest.
While Shastri wished to see Ravichandran Ashwin tormenting batters for a minimum of two more years, Dravid wanted him to keep playing.
During the most recent series against England, Ashwin reached multiple milestones, including his 100th Test appearance and 500 Test wickets.
After Anil Kumble, the seasoned off-spinner became the second bowler in Indian history to reach 500 Test wickets.
After collecting 26 wickets at an astounding average of 24.81 in the five-match series, the 37-year-old emerged as the leading wicket-taker.
Additionally, the spinner took back the top spot among Test bowlers. The team led by Ben Stokes was defeated 4-1 by the home team.
Rahul Dravid said he hoped Ravichandran Ashwin would continue to motivate spinners in the coming years.
The current coach of Team India emphasised Ashwin’s commitment and important role in the group’s accomplishments.

Ravi Shastri expressed faith in Ravichandran Ashwin’s capacity to succeed on the pitch and urged him to continue playing cricket. Ashwin should bother the batters for a few more years, Shastri pleaded with Ashwin.

In innings, he has taken 36 wickets with five balls remaining and six wickets in a match.
Ashwin was hailed by Anil Kumble as one of the best cricketers to have represented India. His disappointment at Ashwin’s omission from overseas Tests was evident as he said that the player ought to have achieved the landmark of 100 Test matches sooner.
