According to reports, Real Madrid is willing to raise their offer to sign Alphonso Davies, a defender for Bayern Munich.

With a total of 181 appearances since relocating to the Allianz Arena in 2019, Davies has solidified his position as a crucial player.

The Canada international has provided nine goals and twenty-eight assists, earning him a reputation as one of the top left-sided players in the world.

Regardless of who takes over as head coach in 2024–25 in place of Thomas Tuchel, Bayern would love to have the 23-year-old on staff in the long run.

With less than 18 months left on his contract, the Bundesliga team finds itself in a precarious situation when it comes to negotiating his future.

It is possible, although extremely improbable given the state of the club’s finances, that Bayern will risk losing Davies on a free transfer and retain him in the lineup without a contract renewal.

Few indications exist that Davies is willing to sign new contracts with Bayern, which has only piqued the interest of a few suitors, such as Manchester City and Liverpool.

Still, Real has long been thought to be the most serious contender, and they seem committed to closing a deal on Davies as soon as possible.

Cadena Ser claims that Los Blancos are willing to exceed their initial offer for the player in order to get his signing.

According to the report, an offer would be raised to €50 million (£42.78 million) in an attempt to persuade Bayern to sell at a time when the German team is reportedly considering their options.

La Liga president Javier Tebas has repeatedly said that Real Madrid is in a very good financial situation and capable of making significant acquisitions before the upcoming transfer market opens.

Both Fran Garcia and Ferland Mendy, who have both started for Carlo Ancelotti’s team this season, are vying for the left-back position.

Having said that, it is conceivable that one of those players—possibly Mendy, who has fewer than 18 months left on his contract—would be traded should Davies wind up at the Bernabeu.
