An enigmatic post by Suryakumar Yadav before the next Indian Premier League (IPL) season has the fans alarmed.
The right-handed batter is expected to compete in the event, although it is unclear if he would do so in the preliminary stages.
Since December of last year, the Mumbai star has not participated in a competitive match.
When he last participated, it was in the T20I series versus South Africa, and he scored an incredible 900 points. He first sustained an ankle injury in that same game, which led to a sports hernia.
He needed surgery to treat both of his wounds. He had to have surgery on his groyne in Munich in January following the procedure for the ankle injury.
He was unable to play in India’s final Twenty20 international match before the T20 World Cup in June due to his injuries during the home T20I series against Afghanistan.
In the DY Patil T20 Cup last month, Suryakumar Yadav attempted to play again but was unable to recuperate in time. And it appears like he will be out for a little longer.
He is currently at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru and needs the BCCI medical staff’s approval before he can participate in the 2024 Indian Premier League.
And it appears that the medical staff has not given him the all-clear. He was scheduled to take a fitness test on Tuesday, March 19, according to sources.
He sent a mysterious statement as a story on Instagram later that day. Many people think that the famous batter has not received clearance for the first phase of the 2024 Indian Premier League since he uploaded an emoticon of a shattered heart.
