When the January transfer window opens for business, it is rumoured that Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr may both make proposals for Manchester United midfielder Casemiro.

Many people are presently speculating about the 31-year-old’s future, with reports indicating that Man United is open to receiving offers for him during the winter transfer window.

After joining the Red Devils from Real Madrid for the 2022–23 season, Casemiro performed admirably. In 12 games this year, he has scored four goals and provided one assist.

However, the Brazil captain’s defensive performances in the first few weeks of the 2023–24 season drew criticism, and at this point in his career, it’s believed he’s searching for a fresh challenge.

Due to a hamstring issue, Casemiro hasn’t been able to play since the beginning of October. However, he has resumed exercising and might be available over the holiday season.

Journalist Ekrem Konur claims that Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr, two teams rumoured to be putting up bids in January, are of interest to Saudi Arabia.

Although the South American is thought to have a contract at Old Trafford expiring in June 2026 at a salary of great magnitude, Man United is not thought to be actively seeking to offload him. His departure would free up funds for new players, perhaps a centre-forward.

Casemiro has scored twice in his two Champions League group stage outings this season, but he has only scored once in his eight Premier League games.

The midfield player will miss Sunday afternoon’s match against Liverpool once more, but he may return before the end of December, depending on whether or not he is expected to leave.

Given the Brazilian’s stature in the industry and the remaining term on his Old Trafford contract, Man United can demand a sizable transfer fee.

The Public Investment Fund also owns Al-Hilal, Al-Nassr, Al-Ahli, and Al-Ittihad.

In addition, there have been rumours that Raphael Varane, a former France international and current Man United player, is wanted by Saudi Pro League authorities. Varane may be on the move in the beginning of 2024.

Michael Emenalo, the director of football for the Saudi Pro League, has downplayed rumours that Jadon Sancho would join the division in January.

Donny van de Beek, a Netherlands international, was reportedly attracting interest from the division as well, but he is currently very close to switching loans from Manchester United to Eintracht Frankfurt.
