Willian, the winger for Fulham, has stated that he will decide on his future at the end of the current campaign.

In the summer of 2022, the Brazilian made his way back to the Premier League, signing a one-year contract with Fulham.

After letting his contract expire, Willian quickly rejoined the team and signed a new contract that would last until the end of the 2023–24 campaign.

As his current contract is going to expire on June 30, Willian has disclosed that he isn’t sure if he wants to stay longer with the Cottagers.

Willian reportedly said to Trivela, citing Sport Witness: “Fulham has already made it clear that they want me to stay. They want me to extend my contract and stay.

However, my agent and I have decided that we won’t address this until the conclusion of the season. Since I still need to determine if I’m staying here or going somewhere else, I felt that telling them to wait would be the wisest course of action at this time.”

The former Chelsea and Arsenal player is eager to remain in the English city even though his future is uncertain.

“I think it would be good, it would be perfect,” Willian declared. However, I still haven’t made up my mind about what to do next.

“As you mentioned, my career is almost coming to an end at the age of 35. As a result, you need to consider your options extremely carefully, including where to go and what to do next. However, it would be excellent and ideal if I could remain in London and be in London.”

Willian played for Chelsea, Fulham’s neighbours in West London, for seven years, scoring sixty-three goals and dishing out sixty-two assists in 339 games.

He won two Premier League championships, an FA Cup, an EFL Cup, and a Europa League trophy while he was a member of the Blues.

After that, the 35-year-old played for Arsenal for a year before returning to Corinthians in the summer of 2021.

Willian has made 60 competitive appearances for Fulham since rejoining the English premier league, scoring eight goals and providing ten assists.

Willian will probably play when Fulham takes on Sheffield United on Saturday after starting the team’s 3-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur earlier this month. Marco Silva’s team plays Sheffield United.
