In the just finished five-match series against England, India’s spinner Kuldeep Yadav shone with the ball.

In the first Test in Hyderabad, he was left out of the starting eleven as India favoured Axar Patel, Ravindra Jadeja, and Ravichandran Ashwin.

He was supposed to warm up on the bench for the second Test as well, but Ravindra Jadeja’s untimely injury forced him to be recalled to the starting eleven.

In response, the left-arm spinner claimed four wickets in the match, helping India defeat England by 106 runs and square the series.

India kept Kuldeep Yadav and benched Axar Patel when Jadeja returned for the third Test, and the Chinese spinner more than justified the decision.

He took 15 wickets in the remaining three Test matches, including five in the fifth Test as India won all three matches to clinch the series 4-1.

Many people think that after struggling for months, left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav has returned to his best form, especially after his impressive performance against England.

With a spectacular start to his international career, Kuldeep Yadav completely stunned teams.

He gave performances both inside and outside of India, making an impression in South Africa, Australia, England, and other countries.

But after retiring from international cricket, former India captain MS Dhoni found it difficult to maintain that level.

Kuldeep Yadav’s remarkable performances were largely attributed to the renowned wicketkeeper-batsman, who continued to mentor him from behind the stumps.

But once Dhoni retired, the spinner from Uttar Pradesh lost form and his spot in the Indian squad as well.

He has stated again how significant Dhoni was to him and that things have been better for him recently.

He claimed that Dhoni’s presence not only made things simpler for him but also for the other spinners.

He also acknowledged that, following Dhoni’s retirement, he found it difficult to take ownership of his bowling.

We had a great time bowling together, so I wanted him to play more. My performance with the ball wasn’t terrific after Dhoni retired, Kuldeep Yadav acknowledged in an interview with Indianexpress.com.

“It occurs when someone mentors you and then loses their influence, leaving you to handle everything on your own.

It requires time for you to respond to the circumstance. I most likely experienced that. Then, gradually, you pick up the skills and gain independence.

Chahal and I, however, truly relished Mahi bhai’s creative ideas when he was keeping wickets. When I bowled, I didn’t have to think too much.

All I needed to do was bowl, and he would even modify the fields. Without a doubt, I had a terrific experience with Mahi bhai both on and off the field,” he added.
