La Liga: Granada vs. Atletico Madrid – When Atletico Madrid visits Nuevo Estadio de Los Carmenes on Monday night to play Granada, they will be attempting to get back to winning ways in the top division of Spain.

The team led by Alexander Medina defeated Cadiz 2-0 in their most recent game played in front of their own fans on January 3. However, they came into this game having lost to Real Betis 1-0.
Despite having the fourth-worst home record in La Liga this season, Granada has managed to earn 10 of its 11 points in front of their own fans, with their away games being especially tough.
Atletico, on the other hand, comes into this game fresh off a 4-2 victory over Real Madrid on Thursday night in the Copa del Rey semifinals.
On January 10, Simeone’s team lost to Real Madrid 5-3 in the Spanish Super Cup semi-finals, but they were able to exact some retribution in the most recent Copa del Rey match between the two teams.
After losing 4-3 to division leaders Girona on January 3, Atletico has not played in La Liga since. Currently placed fifth in the standings with 38 points from 19 games, they are not at the top of the Spanish league.

Securing a Champions League spot for next season is the minimum requirement for an Atletico side also chasing success in the Copa del Rey and Champions League this term. The Red and Whites are three points behind fourth-placed Barcelona and 11 from the leaders Girona, who have played a game more.
Atletico, who had only triumphed in three of their nine league away games this year, defeated Granada 2-1 at Wanda Metropolitano in August, but in their most recent trip to Nuevo Estadio de Los Cármenes in La Liga, they were defeated 2-1 by Granada in December 2021.

Due to a muscle issue, Granada’s goalkeeper Raul Fernandez will be absent on Monday night as well. Additionally, newcomer Martin Hongla is suspended and will not play in the game.
However, Ricard Sanchez, 23, has returned from his own ban and will be starting again.
Nine goals have been scored this season between Lucas Boye and Myrto Uzuni, who will continue in the last third of the field. Bryan Zaragoza, who will join Bayern Munich this summer, has six goals and will again be used off the right for the home team this weekend.
Regarding Atletico, Cesar Azpilicueta will be sidelined for an extended amount of time due to a significant knee injury, and Thomas Lemar is still out due to an Achilles injury.
