According to reports, Manchester United has determined which three players would be the best to sign during the summer transfer season.

With Sir Jim Ratcliffe now in charge of football operations, significant adjustments are anticipated at Old Trafford in all areas during the upcoming months.

Although investigations into behind-the-scenes positions have already begun, rumours continue that current manager Erik ten Hag may be the next to depart a prominent position.

Despite United’s victory against Coventry City on penalties shootouts on Sunday to advance to the FA Cup final, the Dutchman has suffered because of giving up a three-goal lead to the Championship team.

Ten Hag is more likely to leave his position in the dugout than stay, according to a number of publications, with United reportedly considering his options.

When operations resume at Old Trafford in June, whoever is in charge there—whether it’s Ten Hag or his successor—will expect to have some say over who new faces show up.

United still has work to do to comply with the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability criteria, especially considering that playing in the Champions League in 2024–25 looks to be out of the question.

Nevertheless, the United board, headed by CEO of INEOS Ratcliffe, is keen to issue a statement and return United to the Premier League race.

Three players who are estimated to cost over £232 million have been selected as the best additions to the team, according to Fichajes.

The first objective is to replace the present centre backs with younger players, and the rumour indicates that United would like to sign Alessandro Bastoni of Inter Milan.

After leading Inter to two Serie A championships and a Champions League final in recent years, the 25-year-old Italian international has made a name for himself as one of the most respected defenders in Europe.

In an effort to bolster their engine room and provide Kobbie Mainoo a long-term partner, United is rumoured to be keen to eventually bring Frenkie de Jong to the Theatre of Dreams.

Despite Barcelona’s repeated claims that the Netherlands international is not for sale, De Jong is a clear target due to their well-established financial problems.

Jamal Musiala, an attacker for Bayern Munich, is allegedly also on United’s list of desired arrivals, despite the fact that the Germany international now seems more likely to join another European powerhouse.

Musiala would reportedly cost approximately €120 million (£103.46 million), while Bastoni would cost €80 million (£68.97 million) and De Jong would cost €70 million (£60.35 million). It is possible that the latter might be available for less money.
