Premier League teams are allegedly interested in Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi.
The 27-year-old has been with the Foxes since January 2017, making him one of the team’s longest-serving players at the moment.
The Nigerian international has since become a club icon, playing a key role in the 2020–21 FA Cup winning season and amassing 270 appearances across all competitions.
Ndidi’s Leicester career has now reached a point where, at the conclusion of the current campaign, his contract is set to expire.
Ndidi scored in last weekend’s 2-1 victory over West Bromwich Albion, and he is currently trying to lead the East Midlands team to promotion to the Premier League.
If Leicester wins two of their final three Championship games, they’ll go up, but there will be problems because of their off-field financial problems.
Ndidi is impacted by the club’s current situation, which prevents them from adding new players or extending the contracts of any existing players whose contracts expire in June.
With 16 goals and 17 assists in his Leicester career, clubs in the Premier League and throughout Europe will undoubtedly be considering a move for this player.
In an attempt to work out a deal with Ndidi before the end of the campaign, Crystal Palace is reportedly keeping an eye on the situation, according to talkSPORT.
Oliver Glasner, the newly hired head coach, has defeated West Ham United and Liverpool recently, putting him in a position to begin setting goals for the upcoming campaign.
Now that Palace is 11 points above the Premier League relegation zone, Luton Town’s four remaining games must be won for Palace to remain in the top division.
Palace has been using a back three since Glasner arrived, and given how well it worked against the Hammers and the title contenders, it looks like this arrangement is here to stay.

For Leicester, Ndidi has mostly played as a central midfielder. Should he decide to move to Selhurst Park, Adam Wharton would probably be his engine room partner.
Ndidi can, however, also play in a defensive three, which is a clear plus for Glasner as he aims to increase the depth of his team.
Ndidi isn’t anticipated to make any decisions until Leicester’s immediate future is decided.
